The Florida State redshirt freshman has completed 40 of 45 passes an 88.9 percent completion percentage that is the best of any Football Bowl Subdivision quarterback in his first two games of a season since 2000, according to research by the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Winston has thrown for six touchdowns thats right, more TDs than incompletions in his first two games for No. 8 Florida State (2-0). He has thrown for 570 yards and also has a rushing touchdown in a season-opening 41-13 win over Pitt and again in Saturdays 62-7 victory over Nevada.
Florida State plays host to Bethune-Cookman (3-0), which is coming off a 34-13 road win over Florida International, on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The previous best was West Virginias Geno Smith, who completed 88 percent of his passes to open the 2012 season.
