Two things are now official when it comes to the injury Florida quarterback John Brantley sustained in the loss to Alabama: 1) the injury has been classified as a high ankle sprain and isn't as serious as it first looked, and 2) Brantley will miss the Gators' game against LSU regardless.We'll surely be visiting this several more times over the next few days, but for now we focus on the first start for true freshman Jeff Driskel. Driskel has played sparingly this season and rightfully so. He's not ready. There's nothing wrong with Driskel not being ready, but he just isn't yet. In an entire half of play against Alabama with Florida down, Will Muschamp and Charlie Weis allowed the freshman to pass the ball only six times. The coaching staff isn't completely confident Driskel is ready, but they better find that confidence very quickly.On Saturday, Driskel will make his first career start against the no. 1/no. 2 Tigers in one of the nation's most hostile environments.
