Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel has been getting around since becoming the first freshman to win the Heisman Memorial Trophy last season.Manziel has been spotted courtside at NBA games, flashing stacks of cash at casinos, and attending the Super Bowl, among other outings this offseason. With all of that time spent away from College Station, one may begin to wonder how much time he actually does spend on campus. Apparently, not much. The Aggies signal caller told reporters Monday night at the Davey O'Brien Award reception that he is only on campus once every month. Manziel added that all of his classes are being taken online, however, a school spokesman refused to confirm or deny Manziel's schedule via telephone. As unorthodox and anti-social as it may seem, the modern age of online learning has allowed such scheduling to occur. Manziel claims that he intially tried to take an English course on campus this semester, but had to withdraw after requests for photos and autographs from classmates became too distracting.Manziel believes the media holds him under a closer microscope than other college football players."I know plenty of friends who went down to Mardi Gras to New Orleans and other guys who went to the Super Bowl too," Manziel said. "I was down there with other college football guys too, so I don't know, people like to give me a hard time more than others. There's college kids doing what I'm doing all around the country. People just think I'm going wild with it, when it's not like that."Well, when you win college football's most coveted award as a freshman, folks are likely to pay close attention to you -- both on and off the field.Via USA TODAY
