Florida wide receivers coach Joker Phillips resigned today, citing “personal reasons” as his reason why he is leaving Will Muschamp’s staff. He will be replaced by former Gators quarterback Chris Leak. Phillips joined Muschamp’s staff in 2012 after a three year stint as Kentucky’s head coach, where he compiled a 13-24 record while going 4-20 against teams in the SEC. Prior to getting named the school’s head coach, Phillips had stints on Kentucky’s coaching staff from 1988-1996 and from 2003-2009.  Phillips’ resignation is rather surprising, as earlier today, he reportedly worked at Florida’s camp.
