Oregon Ducks press release

University of Oregon linebacker Josh Kaddu and tight end David Paulson have accepted invitations to play in the 87th East-West Shrine Game on Saturday, Jan. 21, at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Kaddu completed his senior season sixth on the team in tackles with 50 stops, yet the two-year starter ranked eighth in the Pac-12 Conference in quarterback sacks with 6.5 to earn first-team all-conference acclaim. The Vacaville, Calif., standout tallied a single-game season best 10 tackles (all unassisted) this past year at Colorado before finishing with one stop in the Rose Bowl Game win vs. Wisconsin.

Paulson finished his final year as the Ducks' third-leading receiver but few Oregon players ever came through in the clutch in bigger moments than the 2010 first-team all-conference choice. The Auburn, Wash., scholar-athlete caught 31 passes for 438 yards and six touchdowns, including one grab for 10 yards in this year's Rose Bowl, to complete his collegiate career with 67 receptions for 1,041 yards and 10 scores. In addition, the 2011 all-league second-team choice was a three-time first-team academic all-conference pick.
