Spencer Keith threw a 70-yard touchdown pass to Tyshon Goode, and then Sidney Saulter's interception at the goal-line with 1:47 left preserved Kent State's 28-22 win over Eastern Michigan on Saturday. The victory kept the Golden Flashes (5-6, 4-3) in contention for a share of the Mid-American Conference East Division title going into Friday's game at Temple. Kent State, which has won four straight, trailed 22-20 when Keith connected with Goode for the touchdown and two-point conversion with 6:34 remaining. The Eagles (6-5, 4-3) drove from their own 22 to the Golden Flashes' 19 before Saulter intercepted Alex Gillett's pass. Kent State was forced to punt, but Eastern Michigan took possession on its 45 with only 39 seconds left and gained just five yards. Keith was 11 of 25 for 173 passing yards and also rushed for a score. Dominique Sherrer led the Eagles with 136 yards on 24 carries.
