Wildcat Blue Nation:
Remember this guy? It's like I didn't even have to wait until the game to get a descriptive picture
Saturday the Gamecocks of another roost will be coming into Commonwealth Stadium looking to toss us down into the lowest gutter and take a loss to an FCS team. Despite the knockout punch Joker and Co. received at the hands of the actual Gamecocks, we've had a week to recover and collect ourselves for round two. Except these Gamecocks aren't those ones; but their coach is sure acting like it. Earlier this week he was quoted as saying,"We have players just as good, if not better than them in many positions" This is crap. Besides the very talented player pictured at the top of this post who may or may not run roughshod over us again, there is absolutely no way that the talent level compares, either with the Cats or Spurrier's crew. Yes, this may be a down year, and yes, this team has looked like a cup of cold diarrhea in a Dixie cup at times, but this is the Gosh darn SEC (to quote the Ole Visor) and players are just supposed to be better than that. The last three games played by our checkered footballers was pathetic, but if you look at the BCS standings you'll see all of them there. The only BCS symbol Jacksonville State has seen was on Washaun Ealey's jacket when he walked through the door.
The self proclaimed "Friendliest Campus in the South" (really, look it up) has a lot of nice things, and I'm sure a very proud football team, but saying that they can match us in talent is nothing short of brash arrogance. But looking beyond the words, coach Jack Crowe might be playing his media cards brilliantly. This game has become a lose-lose situation for the Cats, because their website is still bragging about how they beat Ole Miss last year, and if they win another one against the SEC I'll bet their president signs a letter stating they should be the 15th SEC expansion team. Lose, and they return to Burgess-Snow Field the exact same way they are now: a Division II regional competitor.
Please don't let that happen, I can't take a hit like that.Keep following www.wildcatbluenation.com for the best in Kentucky basketball and football news, rumors, and opinions. By Kentucky fans for Kentucky fans

After the Landon Slone situation early in John Calipari's tenure at Kentucky, a lot of Kentucky fans doubted if the walk on was a thing of the past in Kentucky basketball lore. Then came the news that Polson would be a walk on for the 2010-2011 season...
The first "big" preseason poll of the college basketball season is out and John Calipari's Kentucky Wildcats are right where we expected them to be, ranked #2 in the land. North Carolina is ranked number one and got 30 of the 31 first place votes. Rounding out the top five were Ohio State, UConn, and Syracuse.

The bye week has come and gone and the Kentucky Wildcats football team will now turn away from improving the younger players and resting up the veterans and will focus on preparing for a tougher-than-you’d-think Jacksonville State team. The defense has been better this season than most statistics would indicate and lengthy stays on the playing field have watered down their overall...
