Sharrif Floyd isn’t the only one raising eyebrows at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine. While some prospects have been rapidly rising up draft boards, others like Landry Jones have struggled during the pre-draft process.
The former Oklahoma Sooners star signal-caller ran a glacially slow 5.11 40-time on Sunday. Not only was this the worst among all of the quarterbacks, but it was the worst 40-yard dash form in NFL Combine history.
The 6-4, 218-pound Jones had a highly productive collegiate career, throwing for 16,646 yards with 123 touchdowns to 52 interceptions in four seasons and he passed for 4,267 yards with 36 TDs to 11 INTs in 2012.
However, he will never be confused for a dual-threat quarterback like Robert Griffin III, Russell Wilson or Colin Kaepernick, especially after he’s seen trying to traverse hot coals in his 40-yard dash in Indianapolis.
