The world of social media has become a troubling issue in college sports, but at the same time it is a vital source for information. Twitter has led to some interesting photos from college football players and recruits while others have tweets that raise some eyebrows and may cause to some distress inside university compliance offices. If you look deep enough though you will find some of the more entertaining Twitter accounts out there. One of the more recently entertaining accounts has been the account of none other than one of our favorite head coaches out there, LSU's Les Miles. Simply put, it is both entertaining, analytical and inspirational. Miles has been on Twitter for a while but he appears to use it in bursts. Miles first had his account activated in April 2009 but he has only shared 621 tweets, and he follows just two others (appear to be family members) despite closing in on 100,000 followers. Last week Miles generated a buzz by providing his personal analysis and reaction to the Super Bowl being played in the Super Dome. On Sunday Miles showed up with his thoughts on some NBA action between the Miami Heat and Los Angeles Lakers, but this time he seemed to have some trouble. As you can see, Miles kept tweeting at himself throughout the game... We now wonder what sporting event Miles will show up to next, with tweets ready to fly left and right. In an age when some coaches refuse to acknowledge Twitter or Facebook, it is good to see coaches who do embrace it, even if they may not fully understand how to use it. Clearly, it looks as though Miles has a few things to learn. Follow Les Miles on Twitter.
