You didn’t think that Oregon football was going to restrict liquid chrome to its helmets, did you? Sure enough, the bottom of the Ducks’ cleats for this season features a very flashy touch of the stuff, which Oregon was instrumental in introducing to the masses starting with its 2012 Rose Bowl uniforms. Now, whenever De’Anthony Thomas or another Ducks speedster is racing for a touchdown, it’ll look like they’re doing so while traversing a rainbow. Trippy, man (and very apt for Oregon). [Bro Bible]

Nike and Oregon continue to stay oh so fly. Tonight, we got a glimpse at some brand new cleats that the Ducks have in store — some really shiny looking Nike Alpha Pro TDs. Even the bottoms are flashy.

Oregon WR BJ Kelley gave us a sneak peek at Oregon’s new Nike Alpha Pro TD cleat to be worn in an upcoming game. I can only imagine the uniform combination that they come up with to match this cleat. So Oregon is so far out ahead on Uniform Wars that they have started really designing the futuristic cleats? Time for Adidas to step it up again.
