After overcoming a shaky start against FCS opponent Presbyterian, Wake Forest was knocking at the Blue Hose goal line in the final twenty seconds of the first half. Looking to add to a 17-7 lead, QB Tanner Price was sacked and was forced to spike the ball as the clock wound down. Maybe the Demon Deacons didn't practice their clock play much this summer...
I don't know what's worse, the play itself, or the fact that the ACC actually put it on YouTube as one of the conference's "Must See" plays. Actually, yeah, the play's worse, but look out for your boy, ACC.
In Wake's defense, they went on to beat their overmatched FCS opponent 31-7, which is more than these guys can say:
It's bad enough my parents' taxes pay Paul Pasqualoni's salary, but they're gonna be really pissed in a week when they're paying his unemployment benefits too.
