Found October 29, 2012 on The Cardinal Connect:
At this afternoon’s press conference, Charlie Strong was asked about the status of sophomore defensive end Lornezo Mauldin who was carted off the field on Friday night during the first half with what looked to be a serious knee injury. Coach Strong didn’t go into great detail of Mauldin’s injury, but he did say that Mauldin won’t need surgery and has a sprained knee. Strong said Mauldin will likely miss “a couple of weeks.” I’m glad to see that Mauldin’s knee injury wasn’t as serious as some were expecting. After watching a replay of the injury on TV, I was surprised it wasn’t season ending. Mauldin has been one of the bright spots on this year’s Louisville defense. Getting him back at any point in the season would be a blessing for the Cards.

The Louisville basketball team had their third and final intra-squad scrimmage on Saturday afternoon. Fashion note: Louisville football

More than a few fans lobbied for a Black Out in the days leading up to the University of Louisville-Cincinnati football game last week. That was never going to happen. The team doesn’t have any black uniforms this season. The last time UofL donned all black uniforms was in a 17-10 loss against West Virginia during the 2010 season, and that was enough for Coach Charlie Strong who...
