“I say each week it’s gonna’ be like this so just prepare yourself for it.” That was Charlie Strong’s opening statement in the post-game press conference following his team’s 34-31 overtime win against Ohio River Rival Cincinnati on Friday night. Strong’s team moves to 8-0 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. The Cardinals thrilling win helped bring the Keg of Nails back to Louisville for the first time since 2007. Junior receiver Damian Copeland played a huge role in the win therefore it’s only right to celebrate in style. Louisville still hasn’t been able to put together a full 60-minute game yet this season, but fortunately they’re still finding ways to win. The first half was shaky at best, but this team made plays on both sides of the ball when it mattered the most. Post-game notes will be posted shortly along with a few post-game interviews with some of the players. QUICK STATS CIN LOU   First Downs 20 24   Total Yards 353 524   Passing Yards 157 416   Rushin

The Rundown: Cincinnati

Tonight’s battle for the Keg of Nails may be Charlie Strong’s biggest game since he’s been the coach here at Louisville. That will change then Louisville heads to Piscataway later in the season to take on...
