I think we all predicted a win for Charlie Strong and the Louisville Cardinals as they open they opened the 2013 season, but I’d be lying if I said I expected to play out the way it did.
For the second consecutive season, Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater only played three quarters of action. Teddy was 23-of-28 for 355 yards and five touchdowns with one interception.
Outside of your expected contributors, there were two guys who really stood out in today’s win. Wide receiver Kai De La Cruz and linebacker James Burgess had their coming out parties.
If you’re judge off of the votes in the Associated Press preseason Top 25 poll, Ohio is the best team on Louisville’s schedule. If that’s the case, this will be a very fun season.
I’m biased and admittedly unrealistic, but Louisville may have been able to beat this team by 100 points if that was the initial goal when they took the field. We’ll soon find out if this is more of Ohio just being not very good, or Louisville being a domi...
