For the University of Louisville the Tight End position appears to finally have an opportunity to have some depth.  However, some newcomers will have to prove themselves and the lone returner with major minutes from last season will have to show improvement. Gerald Christian is currently listed as the back-up in the second slot on the depth chart that was recently released.  I’m not buying it.  As a transfer from Florida the redshirt junior was a 4-Star prospect and rated the number two Tight End in the country out of Dwyer High School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.  With good size at 6′-3″ and 242 lbs. Christian gives Louisville that supreme athlete with a good solid frame lining up at the position ready to make an impact.  Watching Christian in practice he seemed at times that he was on another level.  Aside from running routes and catching balls, Gerald utilizes his strength well in the blocking game.  This position is one that has not been a major weapon in Charlie Strong’s ars...
