The Cardinal Connect:
Considering the rough and slow start for the Cards it’s hard to say that they’ve finally put together a full four quarters of solid player, but with that said, today’s performance was as good as we’ve seen. Louisville crushed the Temple Owls 45-17 and improve to 9-0. This is the first time in school history that the football team has started 9-0.
Louisville’s offense continued to run like a well oiled machine. Teddy Bridgewater had a career high five touchdown passes and now ranks top ten in school history for touchdown passes. Bridgewater was 19-of-28 passing for 324 yards. He’s just a sophomore, folks.
With today’s performance, Bridgewater has surpassed his total from last year in passing yards. Just think what could have happened if he wasn’t pulled with 12 minutes to go in the game.

I knew that his strong running dual threat ability...

Jeremy Wright breaks loose for a 32-yard jaunt late to Temple’s 4 yard line in the third quarter, setting up Teddy Bridgewater’s fifth touchdown pass of the day, a nine-yarder to Andrell Smith (see video below) two plays later. Wright would rush for 100 yards in Louisville’s 45-17 win.

In the days leading up to the Louisville vs. Cincinnati game last Friday night, Cincinnati quarterback Munchie Legaux made a boastful proclamation when asked about his Louisville counterpart, Teddy Bridgewater: "I'm better." Legaux acknowledged the fact that Bridgewater's play and leadership on the field have been pretty good this year, but he couldn't resist...
