According to the AP, Louisville defensive line coach Clint Hurtt received a letter from the NCAA last Tuesday which laid out the allegations against him for his actions while he was an assistant at Miami.  Of course, most of these allegations involve Nevin Shapiro, a Ponzi schemer whose lawyer unethically aided the NCAA in their investigation. In the letter, the NCAA rattles off a list of infractions, including arranging meals for recruits that were paid for by Shapiro, as well as impermissible rides and housing provided for recruits, which total $3,315 over a four year period.  In addition, the NCAA alleges that Hurtt provided trips to Shaprio’s home and a bowling trip for recruits.  Delving into the world of personal finance, the NCAA also lists among the allegations that Hurtt and another assistant received loans totaling an oddly specific $7,025, and that Hurtt received an interest free loan of $2,500 in April 2009, which was repaid four months later.  In more likely to be legitimate claims, Hurtt is also alleged to have made several phone calls and to have sent 41 text messages to recruits, which the NCAA deems impermissible.
