Gators running back Mack Brown is working his way up on the depth chart. The absence of starter Matt Jones to a viral infection could force the Gators to rely on Brown to step into the position. There is a possibility that the Gators could miss Jones for part of the season. Freshmen Kelvin Taylor and Adam Lane are also working alongside Brown at the position.
