With his college career coming to an end last week as Louisville defeated Florida in the AllState Sugar Bowl, center Mario Benavides will now focus on his career as a pro.
Benavides has signed with agent Pat Lawlor of Galaxy Sports Advisors in Boca Raton, Florida. Mario has already traveled to Florida and will start training for the 2013 NFL Draft very soon. Galaxy Sports represents a number of current NFL players, including former LSU All American Patrick Peterson, who was a 2012 Pro Bowler.
Mario was a finalist for the 2012 Rimington Award, which is awarded to the nation’s top center. NFLDraftScout.com ranks Benavides as the 5th best center available in the 2013 NFL Draft.
Benavides and Alex Kupper will participate in the 2013 NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on Saturday, January 19 at The Home Depot Center on the campus of California State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, California.
