Mark Ingram has sushi named after him at a Birmingham sushi bar. Mark Ingram is a former Heisman trophy winner of the Alabama Crimson Tide and now of the New Orleans Saints. He is probably best known for his performance in the 2009 BCS National Championship game where he put his two Nike Pro-Combat gloves together to form the “Alabama Crimson Al” right towards the camera.
Pretty cool of this sushi place to name a roll after a former player. I wish more places would follow suit.

Saints Nation's Interview with Isa Abdul-Quddus
I had the tremendous opportunity to meet Isa Abdul-Quddus in person this week and interview him, as you can see pictured here. It was a true honor to hang out for an hour with a quality person and player. Abdul-Quddus came from relative anonymity as an undrafted rookie free agent from Fordham last year to making the Saints' 53 man roster on opening day. He was able to stay on...
Saints Nation: With Romeus Out, Martez Wilson Will Get Every Shot to Showcase his Stuff
The move that sent Martez Wilson to the defensive end depth chart this offseason was an interesting one that made some sense, given how explosive he is off the edge in pass rushing situations. The big question with that move is whether or not Wilson can handle the edge blocking of a mammoth tackle with elite strength. That said, Wilson wasn't moved to DE with the idea in mind...
Brees' franchise tag arbitration hearing held
NFL Players Association attorney Jeffrey Kessler says an arbitrator expects to rule within a week on arguments presented Wednesday concerning the Saints' use of the NFL's franchise tag on quarterback Drew Brees.
Arbitrator Stephen Burbank is handling the matter of how to interpret language in the NFL's collective bargaining agreement, which requires any club that designates...
Saints Agree To Terms With 3rd-Rd Pick DT Akiem Hicks
The New Orleans Saints were the lone team yet to sign a draft pick -- until Thursday, when they announced they had agreed to terms on a four-year contract with third-rounder Akiem Hicks. Financial terms weren't disclosed, but as the No. 89 pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, Hicks' contract is expected to be worth around $2.7 million and include a signing bonus of $542,900. Hicks...
Saints QB Drew Brees' Arbitration Ruling Expected Within A Week
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees is expected to learn within a week if he will be able to collect $4 million if he is franchised for a third time next season, according to NFL.com. He is represented by the NFLPA, which says that Brees is due to receive...
Drew Brees To Argue Franchise-Tag Grievance With Saints
Saints quarterback Drew Brees will set the stage for the financial parameters of his earnings over the next few seasons Wednesday, when he argues a franchise-tag grievance against the NFL before Special Master Stephen Burbank in Philadelphia. Drew Brees hopeful of long-term deal with Saints
New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees is confident that he and the Saints will agree on a long-term contract.
With the start of training camp about a month off, the two sides still have ''a ways to go'' to close the gap, the 2010 Super Bowl MVP said Tuesday.
Nonetheless, he said, ''I'm confident, and always have been, that we'll get a long-term deal...
Drew Brees Is A Hack – KSK Kontent Klearinghouse
Ha ha, it’s funny because hack is outmoded slang for a taxi driver. Anyway, Drew Brees drives the Cash Cab in a video to promote concussion awareness issues for youth athletics. You can tell this was really spontaneous and not at all scripted by the fact that you can see the police escort for Breesus’ vehicle in every shot.

What they might be thinking: NFC South
New Orleans Saints
Whether we agree with Bountygate or not, we have to accept the consequences and move on as best as we can. Our first order of business is to get Drew Brees locked down with a long term deal. Make no mistake about it, Brees will be on the field with the Saints this season. Our coaching situation presents a unique challenge, but we're a veteran team, and we think...
Ruling Could Affect All Franchised Players
Drew Brees has been designated as a "Franchise" player again, but this time it's his third such designation. If that's the case, Brees could stand to reap millions more in his next deal -- a deal that wil affect other Franchised players. Perhaps the Saints should have acted sooner.
Saints Nation: Chronic Podcast - Less Than 40 Days to Actual Football Edition
Andrew Juge of The Saints Nation stops by to explain why he is super geeked to finally be able to watch the coaches film to grade Saints players. He and Ralph also discuss the one question they would love the national media to ask Roger Goodell. Also after reviewing all the NFL's evidence in the bounty case Andrew wonders how the hell Roman Harper avoided the Commissioner...
Brees confident deal gets done before camp
For some reason or another the New Orleans Saints have yet to extend franchise quarterback Drew Brees. With the July 16th deadline to extend Brees rapidly approaching the window to sign Brees is slowing closing. Brees has already stated that he will not sign the franchise tender and may even hold out if a deal is not reached.
However, while on Mike and Mike today Brees seemed confident...

NFL Says Bounty "Evidence Is Overwhelming"
Saints quarterback Drew Brees described the NFL's evidence today in the bounty case so far as "hearsay" and "hypotheticals," not the definitive proof needed, the Associated Press reports.
