The University of Georgia and Mark Richt confirmed that Richt had hip surgery yesterday. UGA confirms that coach Mark Richt had his hip replacement surgery on Saturday. Signing day press conference still scheduled for Wednesday. — Marc Weiszer (@marcweiszer) February 4, 2013 This comes right before National Signing Day but will probably not have an effect on recruiting. UGA made it to the SEC Championship Game last year barely losing to Alabama.
