Lamar Robbins, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound cornerback from Miami, Florida will take an official visit to Louisville on Saturday, Jan. 18. Robbins is one of the many class of 2013 prospects that will visit Louisville within in the next two weeks.
Robbins is rated as a 3-star prospect and has more than a dozen offers from BCS schools. He has already visited Oklahoma, West Virginia and Purdue. Robbins also has offers from Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan State, Indiana, Georgia Tech and Pittsburgh among others.
Oklahoma looks like the favorite at this point. Sooners head coach Bob Stoops made an in-home visit with Robbins after their regular season ended.
Clint Hurtt has been pursuing Robbins since his junior season at Miami South Ridge High School. Current Louisville defensive backs Andrew Johnson and Gerod Holliman also attended Miami South Ridge. They’ve both been trying to get Robbins to lean towards Louisville.
