Iowa can't even seem to get a break in an off-week. Neither can the police in and around Iowa City. Three Hawkeye players, including cornerback Micah Hyde, were arrested on Friday night on charges related to public drunkenness.
Hyde was the first player reported to have been arrested on Friday night.
"Iowa Hawkeyes senior cornerback Micah Hyde
was arrested early Saturday morning on charges of public intoxication
and interference with official acts.
Hyde was arrested at 2:50 AM in downtown Iowa
City. He was still in the custody of the Johnson County Jail as of
Saturday 10:30 AM. An official at the Johnson County Jail told KWQC TV6
that Hyde faces a $397.50 fine."
It was later reported that tight end Ray Hamilton and offensive lineman Drew Clark also had alcohol-related run-ins with the law, apparently in separate incidents.
