PLAYERS: Le'Veon Bell
TEAMS:

If you were sitting on your behind watching Big Ten football all weekend, like I was, then this should come to no surprise that Michigan State RB Le’Veon Bell was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week after his monstrous game against Boise State on Friday.

Le’Veon Bell attempts to make SportsCenter “Top 10 Plays” with an impressive hurdle over a Boise State defender in the Spartans season opener.

Bell, who shares the award with Nebraska QB Taylor Martinez, recorded career-highs in the Spartans season opener, as he ran for 210 yards on 44 carries. The MSU junior finished the game with 265 total yards on 50 total touches, he also recorded six receptions, and two touchdowns.

The former 2-star high school recruit and probable Heisman front-runner, I know it has only been one week, had more yards than the whole Boise State offense as they only recorded 206 yards for the game.

This will be Bell’s first Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week award and third overall award, as he was named Big Ten Freshman of the Weeks twice during the 2010 season.

The last MSU Offensive Player of the week was Kirk Cousins bin 2011 when he threw for 290 yards on 22-of-31 passing  and three touchdowns in the historic “Hailmary” win over No. 4 Wisconsin.

With the lack of experience from the wide receiver and quarterback positions for the Spartans be prepared to see Bell’s name associated with this award again…again…and, again throughout the season.

Michigan State Football: Analyzing their miscues in win over Boise State

B1G Reflections

B1G Reflections Minnesota 30, UNLV 27 The game that wouldn’t end finally did in its third overtime. The final score is offensively misleading because the score was 13-13 after the final quarter of regulation football. The script played out as expected for the Gophers, so it’s impossible to determine where they stand in relation to their Big Ten brethren. MarQueis Gray was 17...
