Michigan State football coach Mark Dantonio has added former Ohio State assistant Jim Bollman to his shuffled staff. Dantonio announced Monday that Bollman has been hired as co-offensive coordinator and tight ends coach. Bollman leaves Purdue, where he was hired last month to be its offensive line coach after working last year at Boston College. He previously worked with Dantonio at Ohio State, Youngstown State and with the Spartans when they both were assistants for Nick Saban. Michigan State also gave defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi the title of assistant head coach. Dave Warner becomes a co-offensive coordinator and shifts to coaching the running backs after previously being the team's quarterbacks coach. Brad Salem moves from coaching running backs to quarterbacks along with being the recruiting coordinator.

Tracking the Brackets: Michigan State Slides to a 3-Seed

Michigan’s clutch win over Michigan State on Sunday shook up both the Big Ten standings — Indiana clinched at least a share of the conference title on that result — and the respective teams’ tournament outlooks. A mid-season hot streak had the Spartans in the mix for a No. 1 seed come NCAA Tournament time. Their current three-game losing streak, however, has dropped them...

Big Ten Women’s Tournament Bracket: Michigan-Michigan State Quarterfinal Looms

The Michigan women’s basketball team’s Sunday loss at Ohio State took the Wolverines out of the running for a first-round bye at the upcoming 2013 Big Ten Basketball Tournament. The Wolverines’ path instead will pit them against No. 12 seed Indiana in Day 1′s finale (approximately 9:30 ET), with the winner taking on fourth-seeded Michigan State in Friday’s quarterfinals...

Michigan projected to be a No. 3 seed after win over Michigan State

What a week it’s been for the Wolverines… After an embarrassing loss to the hapless Penn State Nittany Lions last week, Michigan returned Sunday to edge out bitter rival Michigan State 58-57 from Crisler. And it certainly was a gutty performance by the Wolverines who have looked out of sync for the last month but were still able to overcome a late surge by the Spartans to hold...

What has made it particularly troubling is that the streak comes on the heels of the team’s finest hour this season. No, not the Nebraska victory, the colossal drubbing of then No. 4 Michigan at home. It definitely appeared...
