After his Saturday night DUI arrest, Michigan running back Fitzgerald Toussaint has been suspended indefinitely from the football team.

Michigan head coach Brady Hoke gave a statement about Toussaint's suspension from the football team. "Fitz made a poor decision and has been suspended indefinitely because of the action. There are expectations that came with being a football student-athlete at the University of Michigan, and those responsibilities were not met in this instance."

Hoke also added, "We will use this as an opportunity to educate Fitz and make sure he understands the high standards that we have established within our program."

According to USA Today, Toussaint was arrested around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night in downtown Ann Arbor. Toussaint was kept in the Saline police department until he was sober.
