The University of Michigan has announced an agreement with the University of Cincinnati. The Wolverines and Bearcats will match up in football and basketball in the coming years. Cincinnati will play Michigan in football on September 9, 2017. The game will be played at Michigan Stadium. Additionally, the two schools will meet twice on the basketball court between the 2015-16 and 2018-19 seasons. “Ohio is a state that all our sports programs recruit heavily, and the Cincinnati area has been terrific recruiting territory for Michigan Athletics through the years,” said Michigan athletic director David Brandon. “We are excited to host the Bearcats and their fans at Michigan Stadium and Crisler Center in the coming years and look forward to making a visit to Cincinnati for basketball.” This will be the first-ever meeting between the Bearcats and Wolverines in football, while the two schools have met in men’s basketball four times previously but never in Ann Arbor.
