In a move that surprised just about everyone, myself included, Michigan's Taylor Lewan announced he will be staying at Michigan instead of taking the advice of many and leaving to be what was almost a sure top 10 pick in the upcoming NFL draft.  Lewan noted the tradition of past Michigan offensive linemen like Jake Long and Jon Jansen of staying on for their senior seasons. It's not as if there's a whole lot that's missing individually for him as he was a consensus 1st team All-American this year, as well as being named the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year and a 1st team all-B1G pick by both the coaches and the media.  Why else is Lewan coming back for his 5th season in Ann Arbor? He wants to win a Big Ten championship, something that the Wolverines or him have come close to sniffing at so far in his 4 years around the program. That's about as good a reason as any. There were other reasons, reasons you can read here. Let's just hope he doesn't pull a Matt Barkley and have those goals go up in flames early and often, right? Oh, wait, he's not a prima dona QB... Well, let's see what happens.  One thing is for sure, this is a huge piece of news for an offensive line that will be big time young in 2013. Michigan will lose all three of their interior starters from this season (Ricky Barnum, Elliot Mealer, Patrick Omameh), so this news is huge for a line that will be looking to rebuild.
