Les Miles says star cornerback Tyrann Mathieu, leading rusher Spencer Ware and defensive back Tharold Simon have returned to practice.
The three were suspended for unbeaten LSU's 45-10 victory over Auburn for violating the team's drug policy, but Miles says they practiced on Tuesday and are expected to play for the No. 1 Tigers' when they visit second-ranked Alabama on Nov. 5.
Mathieu has been one of the stars of the first half of the college football season. He has forced four fumbles, recovering three and returning two for scores. He also has two interceptions and 42 tackles, including 1 1/2 sacks.
Ware is the leading rusher for the Tigers with 512 yards and six touchdowns.
Simon has one interception and 29 tackles.
