Minnesota Golden Gophers head football coach Jerry Kill had to be lifted off the field on a stretcher during the second quarter of Minnesota's game against Western Illinois on Saturday. Kill initially received medical attention on the sideline before being taken off the field for further treatment and evaluation. The school has yet to reveal what Kill was suffering from. However, it should be noted that Kill has a history of suffering from epileptic seizures during games. The last one occurred during halftime of the Golden Gopher's season finale against Michigan State last season. That seizure took place in the locker room. Kill's last incident of a sideline seizure took place against New Mexico State in 2011. Assistant Jay Sawvel served as acting coach with Kill out. Via Eye on College Football
