Crystal Ball Run:
Missouri's win over Georgia sent a pretty good statement to the rest of the SEC, or at least the SEC East. The undefeated Tigers may have taken advantage of a depleted Georgia team Saturday, but the Tigers did not hold anything back in the road win. They even pulled a nifty trick play for a touchdown.
The play is not exactly unique in the execution. It was a simple wide receiver pass, which we have seen many times. But how often does it result in a long touchdown pass? I'm not sure, but it did this time.
On 2nd and 1, with Missouri leading Georgia 28-26 with 9:32 to play, Missouri quarterback James Franklin passed back to wide receiver Bud Sasser, who had time to unload a 40-yard pass to L'Damian Washington for a touchdown.
That was the first pass of Sasser's career, which almost makes you wonder how long Missouri has been waiting to unload that play with the junior receiver.
BEST OF MAXIM
The 6-0 Missouri Tigers received some horrible news Saturday when they learned quarterback James Franklin will miss the remainder of the regular season with a shoulder injury.

This play by the Missouri Tigers was the play of the game against the Georgia Bulldogs. The pass from wide receiver Bud Sasser to wide receiver L’Damian Washington was a fantastic pass and a great play call. This was Missouri’s first points of the second half and gave the Tigers a 34-26 lead.
[The Big Lead]
Missouri went 10-3 in 2010 and had vaulted as high as #6 in the Nation before falling to Nebraska. When Missouri joined the SEC, it was expected that they would be the team that would contend for a SEC Championship quicker than Texas A&M. The Tigers struggled in their SEC debut going 5-7 overall and just 2-6 in the Conference. On Saturday, that might have all changed.
The Missouri Tigers jumped out to a great start on offense and defense to take a 28-10 lead into half time on the road against the Georgia Bulldogs. After Georgia making a comeback and losing James Franklin to injury, they were able to pull away for the win.
The Missouri Tigers are trying to move to 6-0 on the season, and are currently giving the Georgia Bulldogs everything they can handle in Athens. However, Mizzou fans may argue that the refs won’t let this game get away from UGA, particularly after this sequence in the third quarter.
Missouri’s James Franklin led wide receiver Marcus Lucas across the middle, and he promptly got...
Underdog Saturday has a pretty bad ring to it, doesn’t it? But that was really what Saturday was all about — the underdogs that pulled off some serious upsets. A hectic, unpredictable Saturday that was exactly what we needed. It’s that time of year when the polls get jumbled, speculation runs wild, and Mark May gets that strange look in his eye. Let’s take a look at what...
Georgia's offense was missing too many playmakers to once again bail out the Bulldogs' porous defense.
Georgia couldn't stop Missouri, even when the Tigers lost injured quarterback James Franklin, and the No. 7 Bulldogs fell to No. 25 Missouri 41-26 on Saturday for their first home loss since 2011.
