Now it is out of control. We sometimes have seen this as a part of college basketball, but rarely does it happen with football. Nick Saban is one of the best recruiters in college football, and being the head coach of National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide certainly doesn’t hurt. He is aggressive, and is willing to do whatever it takes to lock down a blue chipper. Even if said player is only in the eighth grade. Alabama has extended a scholarship offer to Dylan Moses of Baton Rouge, LA. This is one of the bigger ‘kids’ you will ever see. He is already 6’1″ and weight 215lbs. He is already built to play at the college level. This isn’t the first offer the kid has received, as LSU also gave him a scholarship offer a year ago. “We met with Coach Saban after lunch, and he talked to Dylan about his future and what he needed to do to achieve his potential as a student and as a football player,” Dylan’s father Edward Moses said. ”When he said he was offering Dylan a scholarship, we asked a lot of questions just to make sure we knew exactly what he meant. • beast..now keep your nose out of trouble for four more years. theres your gift dont f it uo
  • You must be very hard up...
  • anyone check the birth certificate? I would look good too if I was playing against a team where the players are half mt size. Not to say he won't be good in high school or college, he probably will. hope he is a good kid and keeps his head on straight.
  • kid looks good. Too bad he is twice as big as everyone else. This film shows nothing due to disparity in size. Let's see how he does in high school when everyone catches up in size.
  • i have 2 kids in dehamham springs that is as good if not better
1 rushed for over 3500 yards
the other was unstopable on defence. they also had a great suporting cast.
  • thats it folks, every thing for you but nothing for this young man. He needs a good education first. Lets hope he stays with the books and let the Foot Ball Field fall where it may.
  • This is BS! Or am I wrong in saying NCAA rules don't allow contact with a kid up until a certain point in H.S. What is Nick Saben doing talking to an 8th grader?
  • After watching the Video, I want to know why no one called the team for "Block in the Back". and the holding that let this kid get loose. what about the Front five that opened the hole for him to start with?
If his grades are up to par he could play for any one he wants in 2017. His size will not matter, when he comes up against 12 guys his size and that are just as fast he will spend some time digging sod out of his face mask.
  • Good thing that Texas A&M hasn't offered yet. He'd need to start taking online classes and find a 12 year-old girlfriend with a boob job to post bikini pics on the web!!
  • Alright how about a 13 year old that turned 14 during the football season and is an eigth grader at 6 2 286 that plays both sides of the line .Was averageing two sacks and six tackles per game . Not to mention putting two players out for the season. With the speed to go with it. Check out Dakota Green Fountain City Indiana.
  • I think this is clearly exploitative. He's just a young kid, for Christsakes! He does not have the physical, intellectual, or emotional maturity to deal with these types of decisions at this point in his development. This decision by Saban demonstrates a lack of moral character that is obscene, in my view. The NCAA should do something to prohibit these types of recruiting practices. The are quick to pass judgment on universities for misdeeds of FORMER employees. Who the hell judges the decisions of the NCAA?
  • Either the kid signs a non-revocable letter of intent with LSU or kick his butt out of school and send him back to his school of residence. U-High is the most exclusive private school in Baton Rouge and is on the campus of LSU. Oh and by the way, the next time saban is caught on campus I want a dead body and a bag of coke put in the trunk of his car.
  • WHY IS THIS NEWS THAT ALABAMA OFFERED...WHEN LSU OFFERED HIM A SCHOLARSHIP LAST YEAR??? why all of a sudden new...just because it is Satan?
  • All the comments and only one is concerned with the childs well being. What in the heck is wrong with all of you. Same mind set as Bama recruiting a 14 year old kid and we wonder what is wrong with society. Our children are not allowed to be kids anymore.
  • I agree with the comment above. Yeah he is good, but he is playing with kids half his size. Once he starts playing with kids his size he isn't going to be anything special. Most of these runs he isn't really going that fast and does not outrun even the smaller kids. They just can't tackle him because of his size. The one clip of him knocking down the other player is pathetic and further proof he is twice the other kids size. One of two things happens...he either keeps growing and then is simply another big lineman..or he stays this size and because he has never had to work that hard to be good at this level, we will never hear from him again... either way, I hope the kid is enjoying his time now, because he is going to be the next Al Bundy with his glory days behind him and his higlight being the game he scored 3 touchdowns against polk high...and selling shoes...
  • Nows I ain't gots to study no more!!! I's goina play futball for a coledge!
  • The Arabs were wise as they made soap from vegetable oil such as some aromatic oils like thyme oil and vegetable oils. From then the sodium started to be used in soaps which is denoted as NaOH which was first used by them and had a great demand in the market. Later be introduced in in Iraq, Nablus in Palestine and even. Soaps which are famous today are progenies of the soaps which were used by the Arabs long years back. In the early period Arabs made scented soaps in which some of them were hard
  • The shortage of water made soap have to go a long way. Remember they had to rely a lot on frankincense and myrrh also. To tie this in with the Dylan Moses story are you saying Nick Saban should offer Dylan some Arabian soap? Don't forget trying to sign an eighth grader is a violation. Offering him soap, even if it is Arabian, looks even more suspicious.
  • I have a son that is built the same way 14 6'1" 210 I would put him up againts that young man any day.
  • Dylan Moses, if he does not get injured, will not need to save money on online auctions. But thanks for the tip. He will appreciate if he injures one or both of those knees.
This is off topic, but I just want to complement you on your type. It is very cool and fancy and a bit hard to read. But then again I am not used to the Better Business Bureau being referred to as bbb.
  • That sounds x-rated, or is it just me?
  • I wouldn't be too fast to say this kid is a phenom. The real phenom is the fact that he is so well developed for 14 years old. He has the body of a grown man playing with pubescent and some pre-pubescent boys. Of course he is going to out-run, out tackle his contemporaries. The real test would be to put him with guys his size and see what happens. Of course, one might say that is unfair advantage for him as they are socially and mentally more mature and skilled at the game. However, the same can be said about him now playing with guys who in comparison look like a pee-wee league. Time will tell. I wish him luck and hope his parents are able to coach him to get some brain development with a good education and college scholorship.
  • Check his birth certificate. That barret makes him really macho looking. He should try out for a starring role in The Wiz.
Nick Sabin is not supposed to be talking to eighth graders. Remember what happened to the Great Joe Paterno's legacy.Rumor and innuendo go a long way when you are in the limelight.
  • How can you even know how good he is? he is playing against little kids. That is why these middle school football leagues need weight limits for skilled positions. Some one is going to get really really hurt.
  • Same thing happened to me, 8th grade, 49 years ago, letter from Clemson. I too was big for my age, stud puppy. I still have the letter and it was a big motivator for me. I was not blessed as this young man is. I had a desire and a dream and worked my ass off to become one of the best at my position through high school and college, getting drafted in the NFl.Graduated college, masters in ed psych, worked in Theraputic field for 30 years, retired, raised 5 kids, all college graduates and talented in music, art, etc. It is all about the individual and what his/her choices, move forward with love and compassion for self and others and your dreams and remember, nobody is wrong-do your thing. God bless him and wish the best each day in all aspects of his life as well as for those with their replies.
  • this kid is the real deal, hope that they dont run him in the ground to soon

Report: Darrelle Revis' decision to come down to Patriots, Jets

The decision might be simple for Darrelle Revis if he hits free agency: winning versus money. The cornerback ultimately will choose between the New England Patriots and New York Jets this offseason, ESPN’s Adam Schefter said on Mad Dog Sports Radio with Adam Schein on Thursday. “I believe that it will come down to the Patriots and the Jets,” Schefter. “I think the Jets...

Ndamukong Suh is biggest prize, risk in free agency

One of the most coveted free agents this offseason is defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. He's as dominant as any interior defensive tackle that the league has seen over the last decade.  I don't put him quite to the level of JJ Watt for reasons of versatility - Watt can play both outside and inside.  But for pure defensive tackles who constantly disrupt the middle, eating up at least...

Jaworski on Winston: 'I would not take him at that No. 1 pick

Former NFL quarterback and current ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski sure knows how to make a headline when it comes to the draft. A year after indicating that Johnny Manziel wouldn’t last three games in the NFL due to his playing style (started two games in 2014 prior to suffering an injury) Jaws took on yet another top quarterback prospect in the lead up to the 2015 NFL draft. ...

Gregg Popovich rips notion of NBA Finals games in July

The NBA is reportedly considering the idea of extending the regular season later into the summer. While there would still be an 82-game season, the idea would be to eliminate back-to-back games and not cram so many games into such a short span. Mark Cuban said last month that he thinks a more spaced-out schedule...Read More

Ortiz on Schilling controversy: 'It makes you angry'

David Ortiz unsurprisingly has his former teammate’s back.     Former Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling recently dealt with vile Twitter users who crossed the line with regard to his daughter, Gabby. Ortiz witnessed the controversy and can’t quite wrap his head around why anyone would tweet such vulgar things. “It’s kind of hard,” Ortiz told WEEI.com’s Rob Bradford...
