This is something you don't see everyday during a college football game. Virginia Tech wide receiver Dyrell Roberts spotted a pair of heavy-duty scissors on the field as his team was lining up for a play against the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday.
The discovery opens the door to a plethora of questions such as, how did the pair of hand-operated choppers get there? Why were they there? And most importantly, why wasn't Roberts flagged for running with them with the blades standing straight up?
We may never know the answers to these questions, but we do know the end result of the pigskin affair. The host Tar Heels shredded the visiting Hokies by a score of 48-34, thus sending VT's record to 3-3 on the season.
Hats off to Frank Schwab of Dr. Saturday for the find.

By the way, I loved the "What a cut up" comment at the end of the clip.
Each team uses probably about a 1000 feet of tape every game.
The trainers use those scissors to cut the tape.
The scissors came out of the trainers pocket or they dropped them before a game.
This is not news and has happened before.
