PLAYERS: Tyler Murphy
TEAMS: Florida Gators
The preparation didn’t change for Tyler Murphy. He has been preparing for every game as a starter in recent years, so last week didn’t provide much of a difference. His play on the field showed it. The junior quarterback was in command of the Florida offense, checking plays at the line of scrimmage and making throws down the field when they were open.

Video: Florida Wideout Quinton Dunbar Tackles His Own RB, Saves Kentucky A Touchdown

Florida wide receiver Quinton Dunbar is going to get an earful at halftime from coach Will Muschamp. Dunbar, while trying to block downfield for his running back, Matt Jones, accidentally pushed him down 10 yards short of the goal line when Jones had a clear path to the end zone. Florida went on to score on a Trey Burton touchdown pass from Tyler Murphy, but it took a few more plays...

Florida State remained the No. 8 team in the nation, Miami moved up a spot to No. 14 in both polls and Florida jumped two spots on Sunday in the Associated Press poll. Playing with Tyler Murphy as the starting quarterback for the first time, the Gators went on the road and beat Kentucky 24-7. Murphy passed for 156 yards and a touchdown, but the Gators (3-1) wore out the Wildcats...

Know Your Opponent: Florida Gators

The 20th ranked Florida Gators will come into Commonwealth Stadium with a brand new starting quarterback. After Jeff Driskel suffered a season-ending injury to his leg last week, QB Tyler Murphy stepped in and completed eight passes for 134 yards and a touchdown. The Gators defense has also taken a huge blow with DB Dominic Easley suffering a torn ACL. With this being the first full...

Gallery: Florida continues the streak

Will Muschamp and his Florida Gators continued their domination of the series with Kentucky with the gators 27th win in a row in the series and the third for Muschamp. The Gators won 24-7 and dominated the game pretty much from the opening kickoff. Here are some images captured from the game.

Easley a part of the win

Florida sophomore BUCK Dante Fowler brought a not so friendly reminder of the Gators fallen defender Dominique Easley on the trip to Kentucky Saturday for the matchup with the Wildcats. Easley’s trademark doll Chuckie from the horror movie “Child’s Play” was part of the escort on the road and to the stadium and in the hands of Fowler. As for the game itself, they wanted to play for Easley.

Muschamp excited for two-back test

The Florida defense will see a new challenge this weekend. The Gators will face their first two-back offense of the year. There’s no secret about Arkansas -- they want to run the football. It doesn’t matter what the Gators do -- load the box or run blitz -- the Razorbacks are still going to run. That’s the mindset first-year head coach Bret Bielema brought to Fayetteville.

SEC Power Rankings Week 5: Red Rises To The Top

OK, so the best game of the week (predictably) was in Athens, when Georgia took on LSU. The game wasn't exactly defensively-minded, with the Dawgs coming out 44-41. In other worlds, Alabama reminded Hugh Freeze and Ole Miss that they had a lot of work to do still, while South Carolina and, er, Tennessee survived scares against mighty UCF and the even mightier South Alabama. Oh...

Florida Owns Kentucky Again: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

No Jeff Driskel, no Dominique Easley, no problems. The Gators turned to Tyler Murphy and a still strong defensive unit to defeat the Kentucky Wildcats 24-7 on Saturday night and in doing so proved they could play and win without arguably their two most important players on the team. The Gators were added by a solid ground attack that featured Matt Jones who ran for 176 yards and a...

Muschamp proud of effort in win

It was an emotional week full of distractions, enough for a coach to not know how his team would respond. Losing two key players to season ending injuries in the last seven days, the Florida Gators went on the road and put most of their issues behind them in one long and inspiring drive to start the game. The Gators completed the game much like they started to please head coach Will Muschamp.

Tom Rinaldi wears Jorts on College GameDay

ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi is known for his serious and touching stories, but this Saturday, he was known for rocking some Jorts with dress clothes.  This probably inspired some Florida Gators fans to try this look out at work. [Deadspin]
