The great thing about college football is that players are consistently coming and going meaning that each season offers every team hopes of accomplishing a winning season. However, losing certain players is not always good news for every college football team.
This article examines nine college teams that are going to be hurt worst by this year’s NFL draft. The players mentioned are the key players the school is losing and is not necessarily every player leaving for the draft.
Alabama
Alabama is losing four offensive players to this year’s NFL draft, which are running back Trent Richardson, receivers Marquis Maze, and Darius Hanks, and tight end Brad Smelley.
Richardson is leaving Alabama after playing for three seasons and accumulating 3,130 and 35 touchdowns. Maze and Hanks both had decent careers at Alabama, Maze finishing with 1,844 receiving yards and eight touchdowns and Hanks finishing with 1,150 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
