Per Georgia tradition, at least two players need to do something dumb over the summer in order to receive a suspension for at least the first game of the season. The first, starting strong safety Josh Harvey-Clemons, was suspended for a marijuana-related incident a few weeks back (backup tight end Ty Flournoy-Smith - ALL THE HYPHENATED LAST NAMES - was kicked off the team for his role in said incident).
And now, the second has finally arrived. Starting kicker Marshall Morgan was arrested last weekend for boating under the influence and towing a skier without an observer.
The first offense clearly more serious than the second, which, to be fair, is a hindrance to teaching skiers not to fall down. If no one is there to watch, it's in their best interest to keep skiing.
However, Morgan's stupidity, and let's hope it's his last round of stupidity in this area, is our gain because it gives me a reason to create another prestigious award for SEC football players. If you'r...
