It was no easy decision for Silas Redd to leave Penn State in pursuit of a new opportunity at USC. The junior transfer made it clear he was not "shopping for schools" upon learning about the sanctions placed on his former Nittany Lion program. However when USC called - it was too intriguing not to answer.

The Nittany Lions football team will be adding blue ribbons to their jerseys to support the victims of child abuse, as well as one more modification to recognize the players who did not transfer.
Penn State football players will have a blue ribbon on the back of their helmets to show support for child abuse victims.
Athletic director Dave Joyner made the announcement on a Penn State football radio show Thursday night. The team had announced earlier this month the addition of the ribbon, but it was not clear exactly where on the uniform it would be placed.
