Found January 23, 2013 on Waiting For Next Year:
Fox Sports Ohio’s Zac Jackson is reporting tonight that former Ohio State DE John Simon’s shoulder is keeping him out of the Senior Bowl- “A shoulder injury forced John Simon out of the Senior Bowl, a source told FOXSportsOhio.com, and it will require a further inspection and an opinion from orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews. Whether that visit has taken place or what, if anything, was found remains unclear. Simon participated in just one practice here this week before withdrawing from the game with that he said was a lingering injury from last season. He played hurt for his entire senior season at Ohio State, and still played well enough to earn Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year honors. A knee injury kept him out of the season finale vs. Michigan.” Simon was called “the heart of the Buckeyes” by Urban Meyer. He has been working as an OLB at the Senior Bowl as scouts have doubts about his ability to play the DE position Scouts Inc. lists him as the 16th ranked DE. CBS Sports has him listed as an OLB and projects him as a 2nd round draft pick. If he needs surgery to repair a damaged shoulder that projection will no doubt slip. Buckeyes and Wolverines Join Forces to Troll

On Wednesday, one of the most incredible Twitter trollings ever took place in the Twittersphere. A man named Bronko was trolled almost continually by Buckeyes and Wolverines alike. Some background on Mr. Bronko: he claims to be a Michigan graduate and alumnus, but judging by his ignorance and incapability of proper grammar, I wouldn’t believe it. He also claims that it is his phone...

Denard Robinson’s Position Switch ‘Not Good’

Even Ohio State fans love me Juan… Denard Robison didn’t do himself any favors this week at the senior when he decided to switch positions and play WR.  Maybe a team will take a flier on him as he is definitely a talented athlete. “Not good,” said one AFC scout. “I think he took himself from like the third, fourth round to like the sixth, seventh round.” Robinson struggled...

Finding Leaders Key For 2013 Buckeyes

The way Urban Meyer saw it, leadership was one of the key reasons Ohio State was able to post a historic 2012 campaign. If the Buckeyes want to continue their winning ways going forward, finding new players to lead the way will be key.

OSU Holds On To Beat Iowa

The No. 14 Ohio State basketball team once held a 24-point second half lead over Iowa in Value City Arena on Tuesday night. However, the Buckeyes found themselves only up by four in the final two minutes of the game before holding on to the 72-63 win over the Hawkeyes. Get the game story inside.

'Home' Stretch Key For OSU Icers

The Ohio State men's hockey team has struggled to get wins recently, but the term "home stretch" means more than one thing for the Buckeyes. As the season reaches its final weeks, Ohio State has a run of home games that can give the team momentum going into the postseason.

Notebook: OSU, Scott Hope To Bounce Back

Ohio State sophomore point guard Shannon Scott took the Buckeyes' 59-56 loss at Michigan State tough. After all, it was his missed shot in the final seconds that serves as the final memory from a missed opportunity for the Buckeyes. More on Scott, Craft's steals record, secondary scoring options and team notes inside.

Bank Blog: Recruiting Update

There has been plenty of Ohio State recruiting news lately, and it seems to take a different turn or twist by the hour. Wednesday came news of an offer for Ryan Timmons (pictured), and the chance that the Corey Smith situation could be getting hotter.

Senior Bowl notes

Kyle Long missed some opportinuties due to the flu, but he played on Monday and showed off his athleticism. However, he clearly lacks the fundamentals to start immediately at either tackle position. If a team wants to play him immediately it needs to be at left guard, where he primarily played at Oregon. But in a year or two he could develop into a left tackle once he refines his...
