Florida State senior DE Brandon Jenkins will miss the rest of the 2012 season with a Lisfranc injury to his left foot. This is awful news for an FSU defensive line that was supposed to be one of the most talented groups in the country. Jenkins may consider redshirting this season and returning for a fifth year, but the senior came into the season with lofty NFL expectations. The worst part of this injury for Jenkins is that he was rated as a high first round pick.  He will now have to sit out the rest of the year, and could have hurt his stock tremendously.  People had him rated as a second rounder this year, but he decided to return to school.  If given a medical redshirt expect Jenkins to come back. JUCO transfer and senior defensive end Tank Carradine, who we believe can explode if given the chance, will likely see more snaps in Jenkins’ absence.
