It's time for another edition of everyone's favorite little red crimson book, "Quotations from Chairman Saban." This time Alabama's head football coach responds to questions as to whether he and the Crimson Tide might be overlooking Arkansas, a team that got bushwhacked by South Carolina last weekend 52-7. In typical Sabanesque style, he denied such blasphemous thoughts.
"I've been asked too many times already about last year's game, last
week's game. Our game, their game; doesn't have anything to do with this
game," Saban said during his Wednesday post-practice press conference.
"Does not have any effect on the outcome of this game. It's going
to be about how we play when we play on Saturday. That's what our
players need to understand."
Saban also had this to say about facing Arkansas.
"If you don't do a
really good job of execu...

That sound you hear is the heads of Alabama football fans exploding in anger at the photo above. Yup, that is President Barack Obama – far from the most popular man in the Yellowhammer State – Photoshopped onto a painting of Bear Braynt. (Here is the original for context.) On the plus side, it necessitated this post from a fake Harvey Updyke Twitter account. I’m just not sure...
The elite eleven qualities I look for in a quarterback grading scale wise are; decision-making, intangibles, mechanics, arm strength, touch, release, mobility, vision, throwing under pressure, pocket presence and accuracy. These elite eleven qualities are what everyone should look for in a franchise quarterback at the next level.
You could see a record numbers of quarterbacks drafted...
Arkansas running back Alex Collins averages 102.9 yards per game this season- and he is openly being called a freshman phenom. His fellow running back, Jonathan Williams, averages 80.6.
Not since the Virginia Tech game has Alabama allowed opposing running backs more than 72 yards on offense.
That’s why members of Bama’s defense know that they have a special challenge coming this...
The question that seems to be coming up more and more every day is this: Does the Alabama football team still have a shot at winning a third straight national title? My answer: Yes.
We are exactly at the halfway point for the 2013 football season: 6 games played, 6 more to go. So far, the Tide has shown its dominance the first half of the season, winning majority of the games by...
Oregon still has five regular season games to play as well as a potential Pac-12 championship tilt with the South Division winner. Yet fans of the second-ranked Ducks can’t help but look ahead to a hypothetical berth in the BCS title game. How else can one explain the “We Want Bama” t-shirts currently being sold on Oregon’s campus right now? It’d be a mighty shame if these...
Alabama and Arkansas still do things the old-fashioned way offensively.
They huddle. They run between the tackles, and throw play-action passes.
The Razorbacks (3-4, 0-3 Southeastern Conference) and top-ranked Crimson Tide (6-0, 3-0) should provide just the style of game Saturday night that coaches Nick Saban and Bret Bielema can love.
The Razorbacks' Bielemma and Tide'...
For the die-hard Alabama fan in your family, there's a Crimson Tide history book (1892-1945) available for $250 on Craigslist.
Alabama Crimson Tide safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix has been reinstated by the NCAA following a two-game suspension, according to Chase Goodbread of NFL.com. In a statement from the school, the NCAA did not notify UA until late Friday afternoon that Clinton-Dix was eligible, making his participation questionable for Saturday night's game.
Alabama continues to make moves in closing out the class of 2014, and certain scenarios may dictate how the Crimson Tide finishes up in the chase for another top-ranked class. BamaMag.com subscribers asked of many elite targets, and we hit them all in this week's Recruiting Q&A.

A pair of University of Oregon students have printed and are selling green t-shirts on campus with the phrase "We Want Bama" on them.
And the $10 t-shirts are going like hot cakes on the Eugene campus.
The two students decided to do it to draw attention that the current #2 ranked Ducks...

Alabama has plucked from the JUCO ranks of late, and it is now looking at Dodge City CC standout Terrell Clinkscales after extending an offer his way within the last week. He breaks down what he thinks about Nick Saban's program and more inside.
1. ALABAMA (Beat Kentucky 48-7): Thanks for playing, Kentucky. The Tide's offense took the first 17 minutes off before a 24-point blitzkrieg in the 2nd quarter, led by A.J. McCarron's 359 passing yards (a career high) and 100-yard rushing days from T.J. Yeldon and Kenyon Drake. The Tide defense's 14-quarter TD-less streak ended, but the Wildcats were held to 170 yards...
Alabama was represented by Trevor Releford at SEC Media Day Thursday, and he hit many topics during his time with the media. Catch all of what he said inside.
The Good: Alabama absolutely demolished another opponent. AJ McCarron finished the game with 359 yards through the air while the Tide produced two, 100+ yard rushers. Their defense was once again stout and only allowed Kentucky to score 1 touchdown.
The Bad: There isn’t anything negative to take away from Alabama’s dominant performance. They started the game off...
