As predicted, Alabama coach Nick Saban didn’t have much to say about the Yahoo! Sports article that named former Tide star D.J. Fluker as one of five SEC players who allegedly received impermissible benefits. He did, however, have a lot to say about not saying anything about it. Saban made a quick statement about the article, which he claimed he hadn’t read, in the beginning of his presser before asking reporters not to ask him any more questions on the topic. They didn’t listen. Saban asked when UA was aware of situation says, “Don’t ask me anymore questions about that.” — Aaron Suttles (@AaronSuttles) September 11, 2013 Nick Saban growing agitated during press conference. “If you want to talk about the A&M game I’ll talk about it.” — Joe Schad (@schadjoe) September 11, 2013 Saban and an SID both shut down a question about how the timing will affect the game. — Marc Torrence (@marctorrence) September 11, 2013 Saban, clearly agitated, eventually just walked out of the press conference, but not before throwing one more zinger at the crowd. Before walking off, Nick Saban sarcastically says, “Appreciate your interest in the game.” — Joe Schad (@schadjoe) September 11, 2013 Don’t worry coach, I think they’re interested in that too.
