Georgia is facing another deep hole to start the season
Two years ago, Georgia started 0-2 after falling to Boise State and South Carolina only to win its next 10 games and reach the Southeastern Conference title game against LSU.
The Bulldogs are facing a similar situation again after falling at No. 8 Clemson 38-35 on Saturday night. Next up for Georgia is next week's SEC opener at home against the Gamecocks.
''South Carolina is going to be watching this,'' Bulldogs linebacker Jordan Jenkins said. ''We have to figure out what went wrong and do it better.''
Georgia showed off a quick-strike offense that matched Clemson point-for-point for three quarters. But mistakes (quarterback Aaron Murray had a fumble and an interception) and penalties (nine for 84 yards) cost them time and time again.
''We killed ourselves with penalties tonight,'' Murray said. ''It's tough when you get in third-and-long.''

1. Tajh Boyd, Clemson QB
Boyd, who already had Heisman aspirations moving into his senior season, became the early frontrunner after his performance against No. 5 Georgia in Saturday’s opener. He was 18 of 30, for 270 and three touchdowns through the air. Plus, he added 42 yards and two scores on the ground. Considering the Tigers don’t play another ranked team until Oct. 19...

Both Aaron Murray and Tahj Boyd have hopes of being high selections in the NFL Draft, and this big stage is going to give both players a chance to separate themselves from their peers.
