Jordan Lynch is hoping he can lead the No. 15 Northern Illinois Huskies to another BCS game and possibly even win a Heisman trophy for himself. He has next to no shot at beating out the front runners for the Heisman, but if he can continue to wrack up wins a BCS game is entirely possible. For three quarters Wednesday night it looked like he and the Huskies were going to fall out of contention for their respective goals, but than the fourth quarter happened.
At the end of three the game was tied 27-27, but than Lynch blew up in the final quarter leading the Huskies on two touchdown drives to put the team up 41-27. The defense did its job and shut down the Ball State offense holding it scoreless as well as returning an interception for one last touchdown.
Final score--Northern Illinois 48 Ball State 27.
While Lynch may not get the Heisman consideration he deserves plays like you see above will go a long way towards getting him on to a few draft board...
