It may not be the SEC, but the MAC brings an exciting brand of football that will appeal to the casual fan. This year's incarnation of the MAC title game pitted regular contenders Northern Illinois against Kent State, who haven't seen postseason action in 40 years. The game looked like it was going to be all NIU until the Golden Flashes finally woke up in the fourth quarter and pushed the Huskies all the way to the second overtime before succumbing 44-37. Here are five random thoughts regarding today's game: 1. Jordan Lynch is awesome!For those who haven't read my preview, I may have mentioned something about Lynch being the best player outside the BCS, and I would like to extend my utmost gratitude as he proved me right. While Kent State's tough defense limited his passing to 212 yards, 1 TD and a rare interception on 19 of 34 passing, they had no answer to his running skills as he amassed 160 yards and 3 scores (including the OT winner) on 36 carries.
