This season just keeps getting more and more interesting for Navy. The Penn State scandal fallout continues destroying the Nittany Lions piece by piece. The latest news is that primary offensive weapon and star running back Silas Redd is transferring to USC in what could be the first of many transfers involving key players. Now Notre Dame is having some issues with one of its players.

Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly insists there is no favorite to start at quarterback as the Irish open preseason camp on Saturday.
Incumbent Tommy Rees is suspended for the Sept. 1 opener against Navy in Dublin, Ireland, and is just one of four candidates the third-year coach will consider over the next few weeks.

With Brian Kelly suspending Tommy Rees and Carlo Calabrese for the season opener against Navy, Notre Dame will have a first-time starter under center in Dublin. Although Kelly indicated that Rees will have an opportunity to "climb the depth chart," he will have to show the coaching staff that he can make better decisions on and off the field.
