It's Always Sunny in Detroit:
It’s Tuesday of Ohio-State-Michigan week and so much cute debauchery is already taking place. Yesterday, Urban Meyer apologized for saying the word “Michigan.”
Later Monday, Ohio State safety Christian Bryant tweeted a picture of himself standing on a Michigan jersey with the hashtag #NORESPECT.
Bryant later explained the hashtag. Per MLive:
[T]he Wolverines showed Ohio State a great deal of disrespect in 2011 after Michigan snapped an eight-game losing streak to the Buckeyes at Michigan Stadium.
After the game ended, the Wolverines gathered in a circle at midfield, threw the ball up in the air and simulated a “bomb” celebration — where they all fell to the ground at the same time the ball did.
Michigan claimed afterward that it was an innocent move, not meant as any type of shot at the Buckeyes.
Because most bombs are innocent. Get your popcorn ready. It’s only Tuesday.

As the annual rivalry game between Ohio State and Michigan looms just around the corner, a Buckeyes fan was able to hack into the Wolverines football Instagram account and temporarily make some changes. The screenshot seen above was captured by an Instagram user which shows how the unknown fan changed the account's avatar to an image of Brutus, Ohio State's mascot, smashing...
Last week, the Ohio State Buckeyes (11-0, 7-0 Big Ten) barely clung to their No. 3 ranking in the BCS standings over Baylor, but what a difference a week can make, as Baylor took a loss against Oklahoma State, while Ohio State remained undefeated, significantly widening the Buckeyes’ hold on third and their status on the NCAA futures.
Ohio State will look to maintain that perfect...
It’s Rivalry Week, and College GameDay is encouraging fans everywhere to “Get Biased” and show their true colors — we are all fans of some team or another, after all. The wildly popular program released a new ad featuring analysts and former players Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard “representing” their alma maters, Ohio State and Michigan:
Both Howard and Herbstreit...
Ohio State fans have a few traditions regarding the Buckeyes’ rivalry against Michigan. One is the “Mirror Lake Jump”. Another is the removal of all “M’s” on campus. But the most important might be the refusal to actually utter the word “Michigan” – players, coaches and fans usually refer to the Wolverines as “That Team Up North.” Yesterday, head coach Urban...
Ohio State’s campus is buzzing as the football team gets set to battle rival Michigan (or The Team Up North) this week. Off the field, there is one tradition that the students love to participate in every year: the Mirror Lake Jump. On the Tuesday night before the game, undergrads jump into the freezing cold lake in celebration while chanting inappropriate phrases about Michigan...
This Saturday, the Michigan Wolverines will host the undefeated Ohio State Buckeyes. This is the second straight year that the Buckeyes have been undefeated heading into their rivalry game with the Wolverines. However, last season, the Buckeyes were ineligible for playing in the post season. If Ohio State wins this Saturday, not only will they play in the Big Ten Championship game...
I’m not the kind of guy who likes to be all controversial and stir the pot for the sake of traffic, but I’m going to buck that trend right now and offer an opinion that might be wholly unpopular. Ready? You might want to sit down because this sh*t’s about to get raw. Here we go… I think the Ohio State marching band is incredibly talented.
There, I said it. I don’t care...
Ohio State students decided to jump Mirror Lake on Monday night in protest. This video, set to Cameron Grey's "Who Gon' Stop Us," is the fantastic result.
Last year in September, Ohio State football head coach Urban Meyer brought up his current quarterback BraxtonMiller and mentioned him in the same sentence as his most famous quarterback Tim Tebow. On 97.1 The Fan, Meyer said of the two quarterbacks, “Very similar guys,” Meyer said. “They’re both competitive human beings. They’re both very talented people. Braxton has...
We’ve documented Arizona State’s undies run several times. It seems like the West Coast has all types of cool sexually-driven activities for their student body. Then you have Ohio State where it’s now about 25 degrees. Thus, all the students have to do is jump in a freezing cold lake. I like the spirit, I like the passion, but the execution is lame as hell.
Thanks to BustedCoverage...
Back in December CollgeSpun.com reported that they had learned through The Lantern that the upcoming year’s Mirror Lake jump could cost Ohio State upwards of $46,000.
It’s noted that the costs to clean up, repair landscaping, additional police and medical personnel availability can add up to the hefty total.
Could this be the reason Ohio State admins are putting the wrist...

We preview "The Game" between the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan Wolverines in The Big House. You predict the winner.
The Game week is here, and Ohio State's head coach Urban Meyer is ready to preview the greatest rivalry in sports. We'll have updates from the coach throughout the morning.
The past week has been huge for Ohio State football in general with the two-year winning streak still intact and the team playing its best football since Urban Meyer took over. From a recruiting standpoint, things have been an A+ since the day Meyer was hired. Are things actually on the uptick? Can it get even better?
