The Good: Arizona Wildcats, wow!  After the Oklahoma State Cowboys have dominated the Wildcats in the last two meetings; The Cowboys were at a loss in the desert at last nights meeting.

It will definitely go down as one of the Big 12’s biggest surprises of the season and more than likely drop OSU off the BCS top 25 ranking.

Matt Scott, after waiting patiently behind Nick Foles for two years, showed off his talents by throwing for 320 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns.  “We beat a good team, we beat a ranked team.” said Scott after the game. I feel like it makes us relevant.”

Relevant it does make them, as the new coach Rich Rodriquez seemed to step right into the shoes that former coach Mike Stoops of the University of Oklahoma attempted to fill for the last two years.

The Bad: Oklahoma State’s offense, defense and special teams.  After forcing 44 turnovers last year the Boys didn’t have one takeaway last night.  Two big loses to the NFL was very obvious on the field.  Although Lunt threw for 440 yards, it becomes irrelevant with 3 interceptions and goes to show that the Brandon Weedon and Justin Blackmon duo are dearly missed and Wes Lunt and his receivers have a long way to go to prove that they can step up to the sure tosses and hands of Weedon and Blackmon.

Over confident, mediocre play will have to cease now that the Cowboys have shown that they may be able to run over FCS teams but NCAA D1, especially the NCAA Big 12, will be gunning for the Cowboys.

The Ugly: Pistols firing!! Yellow flags!! Oklahoma State Cowboys set a school record versus the Wildcats last night with 15 flags for a total of 167 yards in penalties. Defensive tackle Calvin Barnett was called for consecutive personal fouls on one play, setting up Scott's 15-yard touchdown pass to Richard Morrison. “Poor coaching, poor playing, that’s a bad combination,” said Oklahoma State’s head coach Mike Gundy.

The second half, no better, as OSU started out with a late hit flag on Barnett which set up a 13 yard pass to give Arizona a 30-14 lead. It never got any better and I’ve never seen anything any uglier.  As Big 12 Conference play starts next week; OSU better film it up and learn from the mistakes that made this one of the ugliest games the Pokes have ever put up.
