This is a crazy time for college football coaches. With all the practice prep not to mention conducting practice and reviewing film these guys have a lot on their plates. Many have some tough decisions ahead of themselves as they try to figure out who can step up and fill a need and if there is any way the team can be better than it is.

However, even though the work is intense and there is a lot riding on what gets done now, it is important to take a moment to appreciate the beautiful things in life--like Oregon State Head Coach Mike Riley did when he posted this picture to Twitter recently.
Like Kadeem Hardison said in White Men Can't Jump--a thing of beauty is a joy forever.

With that in mind, I will look at the keys (not necessarily in any order) for success.
Quarterback play. I remember a few...
CORVALLIS -- How is Connor Hamlett coming along in his blocking? What does Riley think of some big hits on Day 4? Oregon State head man Mike Riley and GA Kyle DeVan, in charge of the tight ends, weighed in on the day’s events after practice...
It was hot in Corvallis today when Oregon State held it's first practice in full pads. What did the Beavers do to handle the heat? The team has a water balloon fight, of course.
Of course the question must be asked...Is it water or Beaver Juice in those balloons?

CORVALLIS -- With Oregon State's fall camp fully underway, here's a quick look at the action as captured by the BF.C lens...
CORVALLIS – Larry Scott was among those who snared an interception for the Beaver stop corps on Day 5. The d-line cranked it up a notch, and the o-line fired right back. And we delve into everyone’s favorite subject these days, the situation at d-tackle – where there were some interesting shifts up front, including an Oregon State linebacker who, what’s this, is putting his...
