The Buckeyes are back and they're eligible. And Urban Meyer isn't messing around.
The Ohio State kingpin ran a successful fake extra point after the team's first touchdown of the season. Against Buffalo. A team that is 9-27 in the last three seasons.
Here's the gloriousness:
Urban didn't stop there. After the team's second touchdown, also in the first quarter, the Buckeyes ran a straight-up two-point conversion and converted again.
If you're wondering, yes, the Buckeyes do have a kicker. His name is Drew Basil. He made 53 of his 54 PATs in 2012. He can be seen getting laid out while blocking for Kenny Guiton in the video above.
As you might imagine, Basil was the subject of several Twitter zingers. Even the Lou Groza Award -- given annually to college football's top kicker -- razzed him:
It's going to be awfully hard for Drew Basil to win the Groza if Ohio State keeps going for two. #justsaying #BUFFvsOSU

After the third Ohio State touchdown, in the second quarter, the Buckeyes lined up in an odd formation before rotating and finally, mercifully, kicked an extra point.
Ohio State currently leads 23-0.

The University of Michigan marching band took some shots at Ohio State during their performance at halftime of Saturday's season opener at Ann Arbor.
The performance involved a James Bond theme, with the plot consisting of the Ohio State mascot attempting to kidnap the U of M president, Mary Sue Coleman. During a staged fight scene between "James Bond" and...
Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Braxton Miller narrowly avoided being blown to bits by a rogue missile - if this video is to be taken at face value.
No word yet who fired the missile, although all indications seem to point to "that school up north".

By Dr. Jeff A. Glenn / @jagadelic As a longtime Buckeye, I’ve seen the fans of our boys in Columbus get ridiculously amped up for football season. The ’75 team had Heisman Trophy winning Archie Griffin returning and the ’95 team with Eddie George, Terry Glenn and Orlando Pace stirred everyone’s hearts. The ’06 team […]The post The 2013 Ohio State Buckeyes: Probation Is...
Braxton Miller had to overcome cramps to lead Ohio State to a win over the University at Buffalo. The Buckeyes were far from sharp today, but there were some bright spots: Jordan Hall had a very nice game running for 2 TDs and 159 yards and that experienced Offensive Line were solid.
While the Bulls have aspirations of competing for a MAC Conference Title, Ohio State has to...
When college football season starts up, so does the steady flow of hype videos. Ohio State came out with its version today – it emphasizes leadership and “The Chase”. After watching it, Buckeyes fans might find themselves ready to run through a wall.
Fans are expecting big things from Ohio State this season – hopefully the Bucks can live up to the expectations.
Ohio State’s quarterback Braxton Miller is an easy top 5 (at least) candidate to win the Heisman Trophy this year, and he got off to a fairly good start. On his first play from scrimmage, Braxton connected with Devin Smith on a 47-yard touchdown pass. Enjoy the viodeo of the beautiful strike above. And, we are off…

Ohio State began its season Saturday afternoon with its 13th consecutive victory, a 40-20 win against Buffalo in Ohio Stadium. Jordan Hall and Chris Fields each scored two touchdowns for the Buckeyes. Stay tuned for more throughout the day.
In the season opener, you expect an inferior opponent and a lack of focus to come into play at some point for the heavy favorite. The only problem was, against the Buffalo Bulls (4-8 last year), the Buckeyes cut the engines a bit after cruising out to a 23-0 first quarter lead. The offense looked phenomenal, frankly unstoppable, to start. But, some careless turnovers, some key leaders...
