It’s finally here, the opening of football season and Ohio State’s first game of their perfect season defense. We welcome the Buffalo Bulls to The Shoe. I do believe that this is the very first meeting between these two schools.
Grab some bench and let’s go to the first quarter.
Today’s attendance is 103,980

Philly Brown just laid a hit that liberality took out the Buffalo player. It took a few before he got up. Philly did go over and check on him. It was a legal hit.
Jordan Hall on a 47 yard run, what a nice hole for him to cut through and take off.
***Second Quarter*** – OSU – 30, Buffalo – 13
Brax sacked for the first time. Ron Tanner with the first interception of the season. Dontre Wilson has the first fumble of the season.
Brax picked off and was returned for a touchdown. Stopped the two point try.
Dontre Wilson and Jordan Hall in two plays and its 6 points.
Cameron Johnston with his first punt of the season.
Half time – It was a good first half. Lots of brilliant plays and good strong first for the boys. Also some mistakes by a young team, just wondering if its nerves, being young or what but we just can’t make this same mistakes if we want to keep the pressure on Buffalo. Good solid stats for the first half, 13 First Downs… 314 Total yards… 172 Passing… 142 Rushing… 2 Turnovers (which became scores.) Aussie Cameron Johnston made his debut and looked good, had a great hang time on his punt.
***Third Quarter*** – OSU – 37, Buffalo – 20
Crappy pass protection for Brax in the opening series. Cameron’s second punt for 43 yards.
Brax is cramping up , Kenny Guiton in for a play.
Kenny back in for Brax. 21 yards to Chris Fields for a touch down and extra point is good.
Noah Spence with the Sack on Buffalo
***Fourth Quarter*** – OSU – 40, Buffalo 20
Goal line Stance and a fumble, stop the bulls for scoring.
Brax with a 45 yard run, Defense Pass Interference makes an automatic first down. Another big yardage run for Brax.
Drew Basil on for a 39 yard field goal attempt which is good.
Defense needs to close some holes.
That is the game kids, Ohio State 40 and Buffalo 20. Lot’s of small mistakes to work on over the week. First gave nerves and just being a young team in some areas. Some Game Stats: On the Day: B.
